The Anointing of the Sick
 
 By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those not only terminally ill, but all who are experiencing challenging events in their lives. The trust is to ask the Lord that HE may raise them up and save them and indeed the Church exhorts those faithful to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ.

PRIEST ON CALL.... Available 24 hours in Sault Ste. Marie for emergencies.

This process is as follows:

• When a Priest is required in an Emergency situation, please contact the Chaplain or Nursing Home Coordinator and they will contact the parish priest of that resident, or patient.

If their priest is not available, then they will contact the priest "ON CALL".
All the priests in the city of Sault Ste. Marie rotate on a monthly schedule to offer this charitable service. This process will diminish the stress to family members from trying to obtain a priest to anoint their loved one during those difficult times. 

PLEASE CONSULT WITH THE HOSPITAL, HOSPICE CHAPLAIN OR NURSING HOME IN TIME OF EMERGENCY for the Priest On CALL.
NOTE: Fr. Boguslaw continues to visit the sick and homebound on the first Thursday of the month  as per their request. Please call the office at 705-253-5523.
